General Rules

• By joining the server, you agree to follow all rules in this document ignorance of the rules is not a valid excuse
  “I’m new,” “I didn’t know,” or “I didn’t read the rules” will not be considered grounds for appeal.

• If you are unsure whether something is allowed, open a ticket in Discord and ask before doing it.

• Disciplinary action (including bans) may be applied even on first offenses if the behavior is severe.

• Staff instructions or rulings are final and non-negotiable.
  If an administrator's ruling has been made in error, the dispute should be handled via Discord by making a ticket. Please do not direct message ("DM") members of the Staff Team directly.

• Defiance of SMPS Staff Members is NOT permitted under any circumstances.

Basic Requirements

• Must be able to read and type in English.

• Must have a working copy of Minecraft to play on the server.

• Must follow all server rules and staff instructions.

Discord / Chat Rules

• Follow Discord's official Terms of Service and Community Guidelines

• Unnecessary staff pings are not allowed.

• Spam and unauthorized advertising is not tolerated.

• Ban evasion is strictly prohibited.

Community conduct & TOS compliance

• You must follow the Terms of Service for Minecraft, and Discord.

• NSFW content, racism, sexism, — whether in-game or on Discord — is strictly
  prohibited.

• Cyberbullying, harassment, self-harm encouragement, threats, DDoSing, swatting, doxxing, or any similar harmful actions will not be tolerated.

• Sharing explicit or disturbing text, images, or links — including nudity, sexual content, violence, racism, homophobia, or any graphically offensive material — is strictly prohibited.

• Mocking or discrimination of religious beliefs. Political discussions or statements intended to provoke toxicity will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
